I love to eat.

I love the taste, the texture, the colours and the feeling of fullness after a good meal.

As a 12-year diabetic, eating and keeping control of my blood sugar through diet and exercise has been my biggest challenge. With the support of my loving husband Carlo, and our feisty pup Fiona, I can usually meet my goals.

Recently retired from arts administration, I am fortunate to have the support of our local media arts centre helping me to learn camera and editing skills that are new to me. Completing Shannon Livingston's Content Creation Lab course has been a challenge I have really enjoyed.

My grandmother was a caterer. My mother loved to throw large parties, making all the food herself. Over the years I have accumulated a plethora of cookbooks from both.  Some of the recipes are frightening, but many are intriguing.

My challenge is to find a low carb way to be able to eat what I want.  I look to the books for inspiration. Not that I plan to make a low carb marshmallow salad, but there are many gems in the books, besides the weird party food from the 1950’s and 60’s.

Joy in eating matters to me. I'd like to share that with you!
